Deep Xi (where the Greek letter 'xi' or ξ is pronounced /zaɪ/) is a deep learning approach to a priori SNR estimation that was proposed in [1] and is implemented in TensorFlow. The last three dimensions of input are expected to be [height, width, depth]. For these reasons, Sionna can be seen as a differentiable link-level simulator. A DL approach is especially useful since it identifies the presence of a signal without needing full protocol information, and can also detect and/or classify non-communication wave-forms, such as radar signals.
