Dell bios slow boot. I encountered the same slow boot problem with my XPS 15 9520 around July. The Lat 7420 became very slow to get from a shut down condition just to the initial Dell circle logo, varying between 1-2 minutes. The computer now takes anywhere from 30s to 1min to POST and show the Dell logo, and only TL;DR: Resolved the slow boot issue on my XPS 15 9520 by disconnecting the battery, which reset the BIOS and required bootloader recreation using bcdboot.
