Tr8s midi control. Best of both worlds really, especially since TR-8S' nice variations are not midi controllable. Basically, I would want to program button 1 -8 to play variations A-H and button 9 to move to the next Hands-on control, better effects, drum synth engine and separate drum outputs from TR-8S + longer patterns and easier editing from Deluge. But beware the tr8s skips step 1 when it gets a pattern change message. You’d have to basically do this for each pad and hope that the tr8s can handle hitting two pads at once or in quick succession while tuning is being changed.
